About JPBRS

The Journal of Plastic, Breast & Reconstructive Surgery (JPBRS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access platform for step-by-step surgical case reports. Our mission is to share practical surgical knowledge openly to help patients around the world.

Authors submit structured cases — patient history, examination, pre-operative considerations, a step-by-step operative account with photographs, pearls, pitfalls and references. Each case is reviewed by experienced plastic surgeons and scored across seven criteria before publication.

JPBRS grew out of the international plastic surgery community and the annual Case Competition, and is built for surgeons, by surgeons.
