Accessibility
Last updated 25 June 2026
Journal of Plastic, Breast & Reconstructive Surgery (JPBRS) wants the journal to be usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technologies. We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML and logical heading structure so screen readers can navigate the content.
- Support keyboard navigation for interactive elements.
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Aim for sufficient colour contrast and readable typography.
- Build responsive layouts that work on phones, tablets and desktops.
- Respect the “reduce motion” setting for animations.
Known limitations
Some content is contributed by authors — for example, clinical images and uploaded files — and its accessibility (such as image descriptions) can vary. We are improving these areas over time. If you find content you cannot access, please tell us and we will help.
Give us feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information in a different format, contact us at [email protected] and describe the problem and the page involved. We aim to respond promptly and to put things right.
